I love Manga and Anime! What is the true face of former Kamen Rider Kentaro Maeda?
Kentaro Maeda has been attracting attention for his first starring role in a Kamen Rider series, which is considered a gateway to success for popular actors. In reality, he loves manga, anime, and music! Let's take a look at his private life.
Topic 1: Manga saves my life - My dream is to be in a live action film
I've had a lot of manga in my house since I was a child, and I read everything from Yankee manga to shoujo manga. I'd like to work on a live action someday, and I would be disappointed if someone else took my place (laugh). I especially love Io Sakisaka's works, so if there is a live-action version of Sakura, Saku!, I'd like to be a part of it.
Topic 2: Alone time immersed in anime and music
Besides manga, I love anime and music, and I always listen to some kinds of music while sleeping. I listen to Western music, go to rock festivals, and listen to girl bands. I also go to Anime song Festivals and listen to voice actors' radio. I use that kind of time to reset myself after a long day at work.
Topic 3: 90% of who I am today is made up of Kamen Rider
I had my first real acting experience with Kamen Rider, so I learned from the ground up on the set. 90% of my character, Maeda Kentaro, is made up of Kamen Rider (laugh). What I would like to try next is a school romance drama. I think I can wear school uniforms while I am still young, so I would like to try it as a near-term goal.
Topic 4: I rarely get angry and have a shy side
People around me often ask, "Have you ever felt angry?" I'm not very emotional. But I am very shy. Thankfully, I've been able to get along with all of my co-stars at work sites so far because they're so nice to me. I wonder if there're any girls who share common interests with me.
